Beta Studios and Recording Rentals is best described as a co-op of three independently operating music recording businesses. Gary Koliger, Kevin Hoskin and Dave Stoten share the facility. We each have our own studio space and draw on one another’s resources to get the best for our clients. The building housing our studio has been here  since it was first built as a radio production and demo studio in 1965, making it the oldest continuously operated recording studio business in Edmonton and Alberta. Beta Sound Recorders Ltd. has been here since 1988 serving Edmonton with the best pro audio recording equipment available, in comfortable, ergonomically and  acoustically engineered recording and control room spaces. Known for having a music focused environment, the studio has a more laid back vibe as as opposed to the corporate atmosphere found in many pro studios. All the high end vintage microphones and digital and analog audio equipment you need to make that great CD is available within these walls and our lounge is a great place to hang out too. Our goal is to give you the best available equipment in a space that affords chillin’, and workin’ your ass off in equal comfort because….the best things often happen when you’re feeling at your best and having the most fun.

With an expansion into high end pro audio rentals and sales, Beta offers a new to Edmonton service to studio professionals and home recordists of a take away rental option on anything in the studio you can safely carry by yourself*.
